Today was our first central american boarder crossing. So this morning dad and I thought we would get an early start and beat the rush at the boarder. We arrived at the boarder at 8:30 and here was a line up around the boarder then. Wow! We got the bike delt with then started to stand in line. After 3 minutes of waiting dad said "Screw this!" And he went and made his way into the line very close to the exit desk. But even being this close to the desk, we still had to wait 2 hours till the lined moved to us. Panama needs to get the stuff together, thats all Im saying. Once we got stamped out dad and I went over to the Costa Rica side. We were only over there for about a half hour and we got stamped in and the bikes taken care of. Once entering into Costa Rica we high tailed it to Monteverde, were we will meet up with one of my old high school teacher. On our way to Monteverde we had a slight delay. We were riding along when one of dads side bags decided to break off. It skipped along the pavment for 200 meters before it stopped. We gathered the parts that we could and headed on the way. Once we got into Monteverde we contacted Jenn and visited with her for the evening.
